Refreshing dining
The restaurant section out the back offered quite a good food selection at reasonable, value for money prices. The pork belly was tasty, fresh and cooked to perfection and sat on a bed of tasty veges while the curry meals were authentic and not over-spiced. Overall it was refreshing to find this quality of dining. All staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks are self-service from the nearby bar. It's probably best to book a table as the venue is well patronised. The hotel itself is stepped in local history and offers a well presented and complimentary booklet on its role in Dorrigo's development. Most delicious duck ever!
Went to dinner tonight and had the most amazing duck legs which were cooked by the Nepalese chef Raj. The best duck dish I have ever eaten. My friends had lamb shanks and Italian meatballs which they said was absolutely delicious. Fabulous place with lovely staff. Thank you.

Old Style Country Pub .
There is a lot to like about this Pub  . You can check in very late if you have been on the road  . The restaurant is a breath of fresh air and the upstairs balcony would be a great place to chill with a beer after a Park or waterfall walk . The rooms  are quite nice spacious old Aussie charm . Restaurant is a gem
We had dinner and could not fault the service all the staff so friendly .
The food was great and prices also very reasonable..
We loved the butter chicken the Samoa's and the apple crumble was a ten..staff at the bar also very friendly and full of local tips..the pub is a visit to the eighties but we loved it ..lots of happy diners a really nice evening.

Amazing food, super friendly chef and nice heritage room.
I had little time to visit Hotel Dorrigo and was most unforgettable time over there. I had order salmon dish which was perfectly cooked and juicy  with a good combination of salad and sauce. and my wife had butter chicken, that’s super tasty.  It was mouthwatering. Thank you chef for these amazing food. I also had quick chat with head chef, he was such a friendly and professional chef. The hotel room was very clean and luxurious. The dressing table was from 1925 and still in super perfect condition and well maintained. Overall I had amazing time in this hotel. If I get a chance I will again visit this hotel. 😊😊

Butter chicken to die for
Hubby & I ate here yesterday for lunch. Wow!!! What a beautiful lunch, I’m still drooling. I had the best butter chicken ever. It had a beautiful amount of spice & really tender chicken $25. Hubby had cottage pie. He also loved his meal $25. Do yourself a favour & stop in here for a delicious meal & a cold drink. The menu is great, slightly different to a lot of pubs that just serve up deep fried food, although it does have your snitz & lamb chops ect. Thanks for a delicious meal

Gorgeous rooms and food, hidden behind modest exterior
Don’t be fooled by the modest exterior and sparse old school pub - this is a great country hotel! 

Rooms are upstairs, with gorgeous period features and styling, including original wooden wardrobe and lovely double doors opening to the wide verandah. The private bathroom is modern but decorated sympathetically, and with a great shower.

Dinner in the bistro was outstanding. I had cottage pie which was served with a side of snow peas and broccolini (I nearly cried with happiness when it came out - no frozen vegies here!). I regret not being more hungry as there were many delicious sounding dessert options on the board...

Dorrigo itself is a very small town with  ot a lot going on but a lovely laidback and friendly atmosphere - much more to my taste than bellingen, which I found quite pretentious... I’d thoroughly recommend a stay in dorrigo over bellingen if exploring the region.
